And I left my heart
I got back home last night from my trip a little hungover and a little exhausted with a much lighter wallet but all in all it was amazing.
We started out early and after a few flight delays, changes, and figuring out the transportation systems, we all got to our Hotel on Market St. at about 5pm. We immediately left for Castro st with was only a few blocks southeast of where we were staying. That experience alone was amazing. I can understand people slipping into the mindset that every guy is gay, because there, everyone is. We shopped, ate some good sushi, and went back to the hotel to party a little bit. Tristan and I had both had long days the day before so we decided to crash a little early.
The next day we left the hotel and immediately ran into a protest in the middle of the street over Prop 8. We hung out for a while, joined in some of the chants, and watched a few people get arrested, probably over disturbing the peace. The traffic was held up for miles in every direction, however, the support was overwhelming.
We had a chance to go to another protest but didn't. It really isn't that I don't support gay marriage or hate the hypocrisy that the Mormon church I once belonged to is displaying, it's that I don't want to give them the satisfaction. If there is one thing I know about the Mormon church is that they know how to be persecuted and like it. If they start to feel like everyone is gaining up on them, they'll only feel more self-righteous as they walk proudly, heads high, up to their churches. There are ways to get to these people but we'll never change their minds.
After that we headed don't to a pier and hung out at a street fair, watching a few street performers. We got some food and headed over to the wharf where we did the usual tragic souvenir shopping. We still had a pretty good time, but I can never stand a place with too many tourists for long.
Next we headed to Chinatown which is totally the raverboy's dream; more shopping, enjoying the architecture, and walking walking walking. Afterwards we headed back to Castro and ate at a cute restaurant called Orphan Andy's. The Titan Men Van was parked close by and I'm pretty sure a few of them were eating in the restaurant. We then got a little intoxicated and decided just to go out and enjoy the nightlife. We met a lot of interesting people, ran into another protest, saw some random naked guys, and went down to the wharf again just to chill. That last part wasnt a great idea. It's a little scary after hours. Pretty much all that was there were police, hobos, and a few angry drunks. We decided to head back and on our way ran into a large, shirtless queen being carried home by another guy. We probably stared at him as he was making a lot of noise and he replied with, "What the fuck are you looking at, you Backstreet Boys." It basically made my night.
We took the trolley back home (the one used in the new movie "Milk") and pretty much just hung out and talked all night. The last day we got up, did a little more shopping, and headed home. I'm going back, next year probably. The city is so liberal, you can smell pot on every street corner, and it just seems like the people are a lot happier in general. Looks like a good place to settle down.
I'll be in NY next week shooting with a few other models. Expect a good post on that as well.

A Quick Little Note
So our country made the overwhelmingly right choice. Obama mentioned gay equality in the first minute of his speech. The fans of Obama didn't boo McCain like McCain's fans did. It all just worked out. Prop 102 passed but it really doesn't make all that much difference. I think we can expect great things from the future.

One more day
So tomorrow is voting day. The presidential race may not be all that stiff but other deals like prop 8 and prop 102 are. Honestly, I think the gay community needs to put their efforts into something that matters a little bit more, like equal human rights as a whole or equality in the military. Buut, the far right has thrown this at us so we'll just have to buckle down and deal with it. We can't trust the conservatives to follow the constitution so us gays will have to do our best.
On another note, I'm currently working on Andykayonline.com. It'll have this blog as well as lots of other juicy things that I've been working on in secret. Not going to lie, it'll be pretty great. Look for updates on that in the near future.
Ben Folds is playing right down the street from me on my birthday. It's pretty much a sign. I will marry the man. We're going to have belligerent and musically genius babies. If that doesn't pan out, the concert should still be pretty good. If you don't know who Ben Folds is, look him up. He is the single most talented artist around right now. Like hands down.
I also got introduced to Escape the Fate which, despite the scenie weenie name, is pretty damn good. Check them out before they get famous and your friends find out.

Death of a Teenager, Nov. 11, 2008

Not really a death, per-say, but I'll no longer be a teenager. It's kind of sad, because I've felt that I've been at that maturity level for a while now and I've enjoyed being up there and still being able to call myself a teenager. And what's with being 20 anyway? I still can't drink legally, nothing really changed except that I'll feel older.
To try to suppress that disappointment, I'm taking a trip to San Francisco with ex-boycrush pornstars Angel Kelly and Westley Johnson and my good friend Tristan Tyler. There may be more if they ever call me back (you know who you are.) It'll be good to get back to that city, I lived in Daly City for a while and, due to my ultra-conservative parents, I missed out on the gay areas the city is known for. That mistake wont be made this time.
Expect good pictures.

Energy in America
All over the United States, states are giving people the ability to choose their own energy providers. It happens all the time and now its happening with power. The monopoly on energy is over. In many states like Texas and New York, people can pay less. I looked at this and decided that I wanted to know more and be a part of this movement. If you want to learn more or jump on board too, check out this website at http://plannedpower.ambitenergy.biz. If your in one of the states that allows it and want to save money yourself, check out http://www.joinambit.com/consultant/?walias=plannedpower

Questions and Answers
So as many of you have seen, I've been working on advertising on free sites, etc. I've gone pretty far with sites based in the US, however, I had a questions for you porn fans in the other side of the world: If you look at free porn sites like xtube and rocketube, what are the URLS? What are some of your favorite gay porn blogs? I appreciate any info you can give me.

A Thank You
So I got some amazing things in the mail today from a fan in Ireland. I haven't been able to contact him about it as I don't have any contact information, however, you know who you are and THANKS!!
Edit: Again, another great guy (from Huntington Beach this time) another great gift. I really appreciate it, especially the kind words.

Vote No on Prop 102
We're once again being forced to address a topic that is absolutely ridiculous. A law against gay marriage is unconstitutional and hopefully we can finally put a stop to this idiotic argument and focus on something more important.

Cruising Fire Island 9

I'm sitting in a room on Fire Island, NY right now, ready to pass out from a long day. This shoot at Lucas Entertainment totally drained me but it was probably the most interesting and rewarding opportunity I've had thusfar. I won't give away too much, you'll have to see the DVD when it comes out. The short of it is, I got to meet a lot of cool people and hopefully will have gained a big credit towards my career.
I've uploaded some pictures, they're be better ones to come.
Edit: Back home again. This shoot was draining but I'm excited as hell to go back. Fingers Crossed.

. . . aaaand she's batshit crazy
Since my grandmother's two consecutive husbands both died before they were 70 and my other grandfather isn't quite that old yet, my fear that Sarah Palin might become our nation's president some where down the line may be a lot more justifiable than we can realize right now. In any case, I've never heard of a more right wing radical . . . besides my mother. In any case, here's something by Bill Press.

Last Xtube/Rockettube Vid
I did my final free online vid for Marc's Chronicles of Pornia Blog. You can find it by searching "Andy Kay" at either xtube or rockettube, however, Rockettube has the better version.
I got two really good offers this week that I absolutely can't pass up. One includes a trip to New York later this month. I'm ridiculously excited.
It turns out that "Interrogation" isn't quite out yet and that DVD cover was just a mark-up. I'll post the real one as soon as its out. It's gonna be a pretty good one.
